We make it easy to share your design with anyone who has an email address, without having to attach or upload anything.

note: For the recipient to be able to edit the design you are sharing, they must have a Canva account.

Share design via email

To share your design via email:

  1. Open the design you wish to share.
  2. Click on the Share button from the menu bar.
  3. Type in the email address/es you wish to share your design to. You can separate email addresses with a comma.
  4. Change design accessibility by toggling the drop-down arrow and choose between Invite people to edit or Invite people to view.
  5. Click on the Send invites button.

note: Setting the design accessibility to “Can edit” gives full editing access. This means any changes made by the person you shared the design with will overwrite what you’ve done.

After processing your design, the people whose email addresses you entered will receive an email from Canva in their inbox with a link to check out your design. If they have a Canva account, they’ll be able to like and comment on your design.

tip: If you cannot find the design link in your email inbox after some time, it may have ended up in your spam folder.

Share a design link via email

To copy your design URL to share:

  1. Open the design you wish to share.
  2. Click on the Share button from the menu bar.
  3. Change design accessibility by clicking on Share a link to edit. Choose between Share a link to edit or Share a link to view.
  4. Click on Copy link and then paste the link into your email message.

note: If you wish to share your finished design, you can also download your design and then attach it to your email message.
