Download a design to your computer

You can save and download your designs to your computer in a range of file types, such as PDF, PNG, JPEG, and more.

There are two ways to save designs to your computer, depending on your Canva editor version. Head over to our article about Canva 1.0 and 2.0 to find out which version you’re using.

 

Download a design to your computer (Canva 2.0)


  1. Click on Publish in the editor’s menu bar.
  2. Select Download.
  3. Choose a file type. If you design has multiple pages, you can also choose which pages to download.
  4. Click on Download.

Your file will automatically save in the designated Downloads folder of your computer. If you wish to save your design in a different folder, you may change the automatic downloading option in your browser settings.

Download a design to your computer (Canva 1.0)


  1. Click on Download in the editor’s menu bar.
  2. Choose a file type. If you design has multiple pages, you can also choose which pages to download.
  3. Click on Download.

 

Download a design with premium elements (Canva 2.0)


If your design has premium or paid elements, you first need to pay for their licenses to download your design. To do so:

  1. Click on Publish in the editor’s menu bar.
  2. Select Download.
  3. Choose a file type.
  4. Select a license for the premium elements used.
  5. Click on Continue.
  6. Enter your credit card details or choose to pay using Canva credits.
  7. Click on Pay and Download.

  1. Click on Download in the editor’s menu bar.
  2. Select Download.
  3. Choose a file type. If you design has multiple pages, you can also choose which pages to download.
  4. Click on Download. A payment prompt will appear.
  5. Select which license you wish to buy for the premium elements used.
  6. Enter your credit card details or choose to pay using Canva credits.
  7. Click on Purchase and Download.
