Working with photos (iPhone)

Using the right photos can enhance your designs. With the iPhone app, we make it easier for you to use layouts with beautiful images.

You can choose to edit these images by using filters, cropping or by simply replacing them.

To start editing your selected Canva layout, tap on the image to bring up the menu. The image menu has three tabs for editing: Photos, Colors, and Filters. By default, Photos is selected.

Using your own photos

You can change the default image of the layout you’ve selected with your own photos. You can either upload a photo from your iPhone Camera Roll or by taking a new one using the camera.

To use your own photo from the Camera Roll:

  1. Create or open an existing design.
  2. Tap on the image in the design. This will bring up the editor menu which will open the Photos tab.
  3. Scroll through your Camera Roll that will appear under the search bar.
  4. Tap on the image to replace the existing image on your design.
