Removing watermarks

In Canva, premium elements appear with watermarks – a criss-cross pattern superimposed on top of images to protect the element’s copyright holder.

Removing watermarks

When you add a paid element to your design, the Canva watermark will be imposed on top of the image while it is in the editor, however the watermark will disappear on all downloaded copies of your design once you purchase and download your design.

To remove watermarks from your design:

  1. Click the Download button.
  2. Choose whether you want to purchase an image under the One Time Use License or Multi Use License.
  3. Purchase and Download your design.

tip: If you wish to see what a downloaded copy of your design would look like prior to purchasing the premium element, you can download a watermarked draft of your design.
