In Canva, premium elements are layered with watermarks – a criss-cross pattern superimposed on top of images to protect the element’s copyright holder. You can work on your design without watermarked elements by removing them through the editor.
Here’s how to get remove watermarks from premium images in Canva:
- Select the premium element with the watermark you’d like to remove.
- Click the Remove watermark button on the lower right corner of the element.
- A popup will prompt you to purchase the element under a Multi-use or Extended license. Select which you’d like.
- Enter your credit card details if you have no set means for transaction yet.
- Click Purchase.
You can find elements purchased through the Remove watermark button in the Purchased folder of the editor’s Uploads tab.
Removing watermarks for Canva for Work free content
If you’re a Canva for Work subscriber, you can exclusively use some premium elements for free under the One-time use license. However, since the Remove watermark button can only purchase elements under the Multi-use or Extended license, you will be prompted to pay once you click on it.
If you do not wish to pay for the element’s Multi-use or Extended license, kindly download your design instead. You will not be prompted to pay for the Canva for Work free content upon download.
