Sharing an image to social media

Want to share your thoughts, ideas, and messages to a wider audience? You can do just that by putting your designs up on social media platforms for everyone to see.

Canva’s native sharing feature allows you to share your designs as an image to your Twitter or Facebook profile page instead of sharing a link to your design.

Do note, however, that sharing multi-page designs only posts the first page. If you’d like to share multiple pages you can download the pages individually and upload them one by one to an album or post.

note: For now, this feature only allows you to permanently share designs to one Twitter or Facebook account. Sharing to a managed Facebook page is not yet supported.

Sharing to Facebook

Have a message or greeting you’d like to post on your personal Facebook profile? You can do this easily in just a few clicks.

To share your design as an image to Facebook:

  1. Click the Share button. The Share this design dialog box will appear.
  2. Open the Social tab and click on the Facebook icon.

  4. Make sure that the new tab opens to the right Facebook profile. Click Continue as…Screen Shot 2017-08-02 at 2.01.14 PM

  6. Add in a caption (optional) and click Share now.
  7. A confirmation will prompt that the design was posted.

Sharing to other platforms

If you’re looking to share your design to other social media platforms like Tumblr, Instagram, and Pinterest, you can do so too.

Here’s how:

  1. Click the Download button to save the design to your computer or device.
  2. Purchase premium elements if you have any in your design.
  3. Open the social media platform of your choice.
  4. Upload the final image.
note: Have some ideas on how to better improve our Sharing feature? Let us know on our Suggest a feature page. We’d love to hear from you.
