How saving works in Canva
Canva automatically saves your design as you work, eliminating the need for you to do it manually.
When editing a design in Canva, you’ll see the phrase “All Changes Saved” displayed at the top of your dashboard, which means your design is successfully saved. This automatically happens every few seconds.
You can also opt to manually save your work by clicking on the File tab at the top of your dashboard and select Save.
Accessing previously saved designs
You’ll be able to access all of your previously saved designs any-time you visit Canva, by going to your homepage.
Internet connection issue
When you get disconnected from the internet, you’ll see the status notification “You’re offline. Reconnecting…”
Then after 2 minutes, you will get a “Saving has stalled” error overlay in the object panel. Ensure you are reconnected to the internet before clicking on “Reload this design.”
Saving your design to your computer
To download your design as a file on your computer, click on the Download button on the right side of your dashboard and then select the file type you’d like to save your design as. Designs can be exported from Canva in a range of formats including PDF, PNG, JPEG and more.
Your file will automatically save in the designated Downloads folder of your computer. If you wish to save your design in a different folder, you may change the automatic downloading option in your browser settings.
