Uploading photos

With Canva, you can upload your own photos from your computer or directly from Facebook, and put them into your designs.

This article discusses how to upload and manage photos on the desktop version. If you are uploading photos using the mobile app, please check either of these articles: Working with photos (iPhone) or Working with photos (iPad).

Uploading photos from your computer

To upload photos from your computer:

  1. Open or create a new design.
  2. Click on the Uploads tab in your object panel.
  3. Click on the Uploads folder.
  4. Click on the green Upload your own images button.
  5. Select the file you wish to upload.

A bar will appear to show the progress of the upload. It will promptly disappear once the upload is successful. You’ll find your uploaded images inside your Uploads folder.

tip: As a Canva for Work subscriber, you can create your own photo folders to organize your uploaded photos. You can also access your company logos right from the Uploads tab.

If you wish to upload multiple photos at once, you can simply drag and drop the photos from your desktop to the Canva editor. You can also select multiple files when you click on Upload your own images.
