Hyperlinks

To add a hyperlink to your design:

  1. Click on the element you wish to turn into a hyperlink.
  2. Click on the link icon in the editor toolbar.
  3. Enter the link of the website or content you wish to redirect your readers to.
  4. Hit enter to create a hyperlink.

It’s that easy! Now when a viewer clicks on the hyperlinked element in your design, they will be redirected to the linked website.

note: Hyperlinks are not supported on PNG and JPG file types. Download your design as PDF to enable hyperlinks.
note: Only one hyperlink can be applied to a single textbox or element.

When you download Social Media Posts and Social Media & Email Headers with links, the download dialog box will remind you that links will not work when you upload your design on social media platforms.

You can also redirect people to a YouTube video or a webpage, while in the editor. To learn how to do this, check out this article – Presentation Mode.

At this stage, the “mailto:” hyperlink isn’t available in Canva. For now, you may place the email contact as part of the design.
