When to use a frame in your design

Canva offers dozens of different kinds of frames that will suit any design. Among the many options, you’ll find traditional square frames, shapes, and illustrative frames.

You can use a frame to draw attention to a particular part of a composition or photograph. In the image below, we’ve used a circular frame to highlight the kayaker.

You can also use frames purely as decorative elements to make a design more appealing or create a distinct feel. Below, we’ve added a decorative, vintage frame to an image to give it a vintage vibe.
