Manage pages in your design (Canva 1.0)

You can add, duplicate, delete, or reorder the pages of any design using the controls displayed next to each page in your design.

note: This article discusses how to manage pages in your design on Canva 1.0. If you’re using Canva 2.0, head over to our article on how to Manage pages in your design (Canva 2.0). If you don’t know what version of Canva you’re using, head over to our article about Canva 1.0 and 2.0 to find out.

Add or duplicate pages

To add a new page:

  1. Open your design in the editor.
  2. Click on the + Add a new page button below the last page of your design.
  3. Alternatively, if you’d like to duplicate the layout of the current page you’re on you can click on the Duplicate icon on the right side of the design, just above the trash icon.

Creating designs with more than 30 pages

If you’ve reached the maximum number of 30 pages in a design, a page limit messaging box will pop up. To fix this, you can create another design to continue the missing pages or make a copy of the design and edit the pages accordingly.

Here’s how you can continue the next pages with a new design:

  1. Click on the New design button in the page limit prompt. This will open a blank design in a new tab.
  2. In the tab of your original file, scroll to a page with a layout you’d like to use for your new page.
  3. Drag your cursor across the entire page or click Command/Control + A on your keyboard to select all elements and click Command/Control + C to copy the elements.
  4. Go back to the tab of your new page and click Command/Control + V on your keyboard to paste the elements.
  5. Add the necessary details to your page.
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 for succeeding pages that need layouts that aren’t in your new design yet.

  2. Keep pages with layouts you need and delete ones that you won’t use.
  3. Edit the pages as needed.
