Align elements in your design
Every design needs balance. A design that is well aligned or well distributed will look neat and uncluttered.
Aligning elements can be done in several ways, depending on which version of the editor you’re using. Head over to our article about Canva 1.0 and 2.0 to find out which version you’re using.
Align elements (Canva 2.0)
To align elements in Canva 2.0:
- Drag your cursor over the elements you want to align.
- Click Position in the toolbar.
- Choose an alignment option under the Align Elements section.
Align elements (Canva 1.0)
To align elements in Canva 1.0, you must first group them together.
- Drag your cursor over the elements you want to align.
- Click the Group option in the toolbar above the design.
- Select the grouped elements.
- To arrange the elements, click More in the toolbar.
- Click Arrange then choose the alignment to apply.
note:
The Group and Align features will only work with elements that are not yet grouped.
