Unable to connect to FTP
If you are unable to connect to FTP, there are various reasons why this can happen.
- You don’t have an approved contributor account yet. Get in touch with us if you haven’t received an email from Canva with your Brand ID and instructions on uploading. We will confirm if your contributor profile is ready.
- You may be using the wrong login details. Ensure you’re using your Canva username and not your email address, brand ID or brand name. Refer to our guide on Setting up FTP.
- You may have multiple brands. Specify which brand you want to upload to if you have requested to have more than one contributor brand. Do this by adding the brand to your FTP login username in this format: [username]+[brandname]
- Your FTP account may have been disabled due to uploading too many files without unique filenames. Check your email if you have received notification from us about the deactivation. Files with the same filename overwrite in Canva. You need to use a unique file naming convention or upload the files into folders to avoid overwriting. The email would also include instructions on how to reactivate.
