Contributor brands

What is a Contributor brand?

A Contributor brand is used to ‘house’ all your submitted content in Canva.

By default, a Personal “user” brand is created when you initially register to Canva. A user account cannot house content in the library. The Contributor brand is created as your second brand when you are approved as a Canva Contributor.

Switch to your Contributor brand

When you log in to your Canva account, you are directed to your Personal (user) Brand by default. To access Contributor brand-related pages, you must first switch to your Contributor Brand.

To switch to your Contributor Brand:

  1. Click on your profile name at the top left corner of the Canva homepage side panel. The drop-down should list your Personal brand and Contributor brand.
  2. Choose your Contributor Brand name from the list.
note: To know if you have successfully switched to your contributor brand, there should be a checkmark beside your brand name.

How do I edit my Contributor brand name?

You can change both your username and your brand name in Canva.

note: Usernames and brand names need to be mutually unique. If you can’t change your brand name, check if you’ve already set it as your username.

To change your username:

  1. Switch to your Contributor brand.
  2. Go to your Account settings by clicking on your profile name from the top corner of the Canva homepage side panel.
  3. Go the Account tab where you can then edit your username.

To change your Contributor brand name:

  1. Switch to your Contributor brand.
  2. Go to your Account settings by clicking on your profile name from the top corner of the Canva homepage side panel.
  3. Click on the Contributors tab.
  4. Go to the URL name field and edit as needed.
  5. Click on Save changes.
