Resize for Canva Print

Canva Print can realize your vision by professionally printing your designs. At the moment, we can only print business cards, A4-sized documents, flyers, postcards, and posters.

Upon selecting a document type during ordering, you may be prompted to update your design’s dimensions. This can happen when you have created, for example, a business card and you wish to print it as a postcard.

There are two ways to resize for Canva Print, depending on which version of the editor you’re using. Head over to our article about Canva 1.0 and 2.0 to find out which version you’re using.

Resize for Canva Print (2.0)

  1. Click on Publish, select Professional print and then the document type you wish to print your design as.
  2. If your design has different dimensions from your intended document type or for a product we don’t print, the system will let you know. Click on the Turn my design into a… button.
  3. A copy of your design will automatically be created in the ideal dimensions for print.
  4. Edit your design to ensure it fits the new dimensions. Then continue with the order process.

Both the original and new versions will be saved to the All your designs page, so you can access the files again.

Resize for Canva Print (1.0)

  1. Click on the Order prints button.
  2. If your design is in dimensions for a product we don’t print, select the kind of product you’d like to print in the dropdown.
  3. Click on Update format.
  4. A copy of your design will automatically be created in the ideal dimensions for print.

The original and new versions will also be saved to All your designs page so you can access the files again should you need it later.
