Resizing for Canva Print

Printing a design you’ve created is a great way to realize your vision. Depending on your region, however, there are only certain documents that can be printed.

Upon clicking Order prints you may be prompted to update your design’s dimensions. This can happen when you have created, for example, a business card in 85 x 50mm dimensions as we only print in 3.5 x 2 inches in the US.

To resize your design for print:

  1. If your design is in dimensions for a product we don’t print, select the kind of product you’d like to print in the dropdown.
  2. Click on Update format.
  3. A copy of your design will automatically be created in the ideal dimensions for print.

The original and new versions will also be saved to All your designs page so you can access the files again should you need it later. The same applies if you would like to print something like a Twitter banner or Instagram post.
