Use brand colors

Colors are an important part of one’s brand identity. It evokes emotion and easier recall, making a brand more recognizable and familiar to its audience.

Brand redesigning is not uncommon and colors are elements that can be affected by changes. If your brand colors have been changed, you can edit the colors in your brand kit to reflect these.

If you are a team owner, administrator, or template designer, you can remove current colors, add new ones, or change existing colors.

note: Ensure you’re accessing Brand Kit features on a desktop browser since these are not yet available on mobile.

Add new colors to your brand

To ensure that your brand looks and feel the same, your brand’s color palettes are found on the toolbar when you click on the color tile above your design.

note: Free users can add up to three brand colors and for one color palette only. To add more, you’ll need to upgrade to Canva for Work.

You can add colors to your brand from the homepage, here’s how:

  1. Click on the Your brand tab on the homepage.
  2. Click on the Brand Kit tab.
  3. In the Color Palettes module, click on the plus (+) button.
  4. Select a new color from the color wheel by moving your mouse across it. You can also enter the color code in the field at the bottom of the color editor.

Use your brand color in the editor

To ensure that your brand looks and feel the same, you can easily create consistent designs with your brand palette in the editor. Your brand’s color palettes are found on the toolbar when you click on the color tile above your design.

  1. Click on the element you wish to change the color of.
